I did! my latest web development work was carried out for Avergo Ltd under an innovation voucher from the NorthWest Development Agency. The website was designed to form the basis of a new on-line knowledge business.
The intial site at www.avergo.at is designed to develop with the business. It was developed on the Joomla platform and includes e-commerce functionality for future business growth.
During 2008 and 2009, my web presence grew significantly and the result was that the diverse nature of content led to difficulties in providing a suitable structure to enable users to access the content they wanted to.
Therefore, for 2010, I am launching three parallel sites aimed at different audiences with distinct content and a few links between them as required.
The foundation domain is now www.alangillies.info . This provides access to all three sites.
Alan has joined Issuu.com, an on-line platform for book and journal publishing. To try out the new format, I have produced an online reprint of Software Quality:Theory and Management. The reasons for doing this are detailed in the:
Preface to this online reprint of the 2nd edition
In order to not compete with the SE Asia imprint, this version will not be available
for download. If there is sufficient interest, a downloadable e-book and print on
demand copy may follow."

My web site on the trials of the incorrect use of presentation graphics software has been relaunched in a more interesting form.
The site is now Flash based and uses Wix technology to bring together a collection of articles, a book, videos, posters and a screen saver to communicate the messages.

AG is currently writing for the Windows Computing channel and the Home Theatre Channel. He has authored over 130 article for Bright Hub since 2008.
Whilst I have no intention on tweeting about what I had for breakfast, you can now follow my output on Twitter. Items on the website and articles for Bright Hub will be assigned bit.ly short URLs which will in turn be broadcast on Twitter where you can follow them on the web, phone or numerous other mobile devices.
My Twitter ID is alan.c.gillies. The bit.ly short URL for this article is http://bit.ly/DPfFC
I have added a new section to the bookshop. You can now read what the reviewers think of my books. Simply go to the bookshop and click on the link there.
Alternatively, click on the cover of the book you are interested in and you will find both reviews and a sample chapter for you to form your own opinion in most cases.
Many of the photographs found in the Town and Gown gallery are now available as a screen saver. The screensaver is offered as a free download as an executable application. It has approximately 200 high resolution photographs, so a broadband internet connection is recommended for the download of the 35Mb file.
Download the screensaver here at http://www.alangillies.com/photos/oxford/oxfordscreensaver.exe
