Alan Gillies: Professor of Information Management

Alan has been Professor of Information Management at the University of Central Lancashire since 1994.
He graduated from The Queen's College, Oxford in 1984 in Chemistry.
Alan visits Algoma University for inauguration of Dr Nikki Shaw
On Friday August 27th, Alan was an invited guest at the inauguration of Dr Nikki Shaw as research chair and scientific director of Algoma University's new Health Informatics Institute.

Four UCLAN graduands working on internships with AG
As part of UCLAN's award winning enterprise and employability work to maximise our students' employment prospects, Alan has recruited a team of four students to work on a variety of projects, all with external links. The projects include:
1. Development of a web based training needs tool
2. Development of an online health publication for the web and mobile devices
3. Evidence gathering on media reporting of mental health
4. Helping a training provider identify customers in the voluntary sector for parenting courses.
Latest article with Dr Mahendran Maliapen accepted for publication
AG's latest collaboration with Dr Mahendran Maliapen of the National University, Singapore has been accepted for publication in the International Journal of International Journal of Healthcare Delivery Reform Initiatives. The title of the article is The Integration of Systems Dynamics and Balanced Scorecards in Strategic Healthcare Policy Simulation Analysis.
